Living with an emotionally dramatic child is no fun. They throw wet blankets over nearly every family gathering or outing. Nothing is right about their lives and attempts to cheer them up usually fail and often result in things getting even worse The parents of mini-malcontents don’t really want them around but feel guilty at not wanting them around. They can’t win for losing.
These children are often described as impossible to satisfy. The stubborn persistence of their moodiness (“He was even miserable at Disney World!”) certainly hints that the child’s physiology may be “off” in some way.
