In Gentle Parenting, Rules Are Suggestions

The response to my recent Substack on the farce/con/scam of so-called “gentle parenting” was so enthusiastic that I decided a follow-up was in order. To do so, I googled “Gentle Parenting and Boundaries.” Up came a November 2022 article titled “Benefits and Challenges of Gentle Parenting” by Renee Plant, posted to www.verywellfamily.com. After reading it several times, I came to the conclusion that gentle parenting advocates are able to fool the public because they have thoroughly fooled themselves. They truly believe that gentle parenting is something it is not and not something that it is.
